
Dr. Barmada earned his first medical degree (MD) from Aleppo University School of Medicine in Syria. He earned his second medical degree as Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.
He completed three years of residency training in podiatric medicine and surgery at Hahnemann/Drexel University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is the first author of the chapter “Calcaneocuboid Arthrodesis” in the Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Journal.
Following residency, he practiced with a podiatry group in Florida before relocating to San Antonio. He then spent ten years providing medical care to military families at Lackland US Air Force Base.
Outside of practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. His hobbies include basketball and swimming.
